Vocabulary teaching has always been an important and difficult point in teaching.For international students,the way of vocabulary development will directly affect the final acquisition of students.For a long time,most teachers use English to explain,or use verbal explanations,making the teaching process extremely boring.How to better mobilize students’ enthusiasm in vocabulary teaching has become a problem that every teacher of Chinese as a foreign language needs to think about.Situational teaching method is a teaching model formed under the guidance of situational cognition and learning theory.Different from the traditional Chinese second language teaching mode,it needs to consider the Chinese level and Chinese teaching content of second language learners,and analyze its characteristics.On this basis,set up a reasonable situation to carry out teaching.The setting of various situations can not only fully mobilize the learning enthusiasm of learners,but also improve the participation of Chinese class,so as to achieve the purpose of efficient Chinese teaching.At present,most of the research on situational teaching method is offline teaching,and online teaching practice is still lacking.Therefore,this topic takes online vocabulary teaching as the starting point to explore the teaching effect of situational teaching method in it.The research significance of this paper is to supplement new connotation for online Chinese vocabulary teaching through situational teaching method and multimedia resources.Through case demonstration and analysis,it can help Chinese teachers avoid common mistakes in online teaching.This paper consists of six parts.The first chapter describes the origin of the topic,the content of the research,the current research situation of situational teaching,and puts forward the relevant research methods.The second chapter introduces the theoretical basis,connotation,principle and classification of situational teaching method.The third chapter analyzes the background of online teaching,introduces the general situation of institutional teaching,teaching software and the characteristics of online teaching.Chapter four mainly expounds the feasibility of the situational approach to online Chinese vocabulary teaching.The fifth chapter analyzes the new words,selects the appropriate words for the situation design,and analyzes the relevant cases.The last chapter evaluates the teaching effect by means of self-evaluation,classroom observation and questionnaire.The advantages and disadvantages of online Chinese vocabulary teaching method are summarized and corresponding improvement suggestions are put forward.In this article,the author first determined the situation setting method based on previous research.Then,with the help of Zoom teaching software,the author carried out online vocabulary teaching and case analysis using "Studying abroad in China","Is She Our Daughter" and "Eating in China" as the teaching content.Finally,the teaching effect was evaluated through self-evaluation,classroom observation and questionnaire survey.The study found that situational teaching approach can stimulate students’ interest in vocabulary learning,reduce the difficulty of vocabulary learning,and greatly improve the efficiency of vocabulary teaching in online Chinese vocabulary learning.At the same time,when creating new words and situations,it can be explained by combining a variety of situated setting methods,so as to maximize the advantages of situational teaching in online vocabulary teaching.
