Social appellation is the appellation system that best reflects the characteristics of The Times.Shiji describes the history of the Yellow Emperor to Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty,gathering rich and practical social appellation materials in the pre-Qin,Qin and Han dynasties,and is an important document for the study of the language of this historical period.With 323 social appellations in the Shiji,this paper studies the feature of word meaning,syntactic structure and the social culture of the social appellation by combining quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis.The social appellation system of Shiji has rich title appellations,and the proportion of male appellation is significant,ethnic minority appellation reflects the communication and integration between the Central Plains dynasty and the minorities.In terms of meaning content,the social appellation has the characteristics of direct expression and indirect expression,and the indirect semantic appellation used borrowing and metaphor of rhetoric.In terms of semantic aggregation relationship,social appellation has the characteristics of synonymous,near sense and antisense clustering.In terms of grammatical features,it has a trend of dual sound,but it is still dominated by monosyllabic appellation,and the title appellation is mainly the structure of verb-object.In terms of pragmatic research,social appellation has the function of role identification indicator function,interpersonal relationship indicator function,emotional indication function and communicative motivation indicator function.In the course of communication,it often follows the principle of superiority and inferiority,the emotional principle and the principle of face,which are related to the context and cultural context of Shiji.In terms of social culture,the social appellation reflects the hierarchical political structure constructed by the countries in the pre-Qin,Qin Han dynasties,as well as the ritual culture of harmonic hierarchical order formed with the deepening of hierarchical differentiation.
