Research On "Words Carved In Siyinzhai"

The words carved in Siyinzhai,compiled by Wang Pengyun,is an important large collection of words in the Qing Dynasty,which established the basic norms of the study of the late Qing Dynasty,and developed the method of proofreading words.Wang Pengyun has collected and published five times from the seventh year of Guangxu’s reign in the Qing Dynasty(1881)to the twenty-second year of Guangxu’s reign in the Qing Dynasty(1896),including a total of 1 collection of Ci poems of the Southern Tang Dynasty(2 volumes),15 collections of Ci poems of the Song Dynasty(38 volumes),1 collection of Jin Ci poems(3volumes),2 collections of Yuan Ci poems(6 volumes),2 collections of Ci poems(12volumes),2 collections of Ci words(5 volumes),1 collection of Ci rhymes(1 volume),a total of 24 kinds and 67 volumes.In the process of editing and engraving,Wang Pengyun searched for lost addenda.Except for a few word collections that used shadow engraving to preserve the original appearance,most of them were carefully and carefully collated,which has very important ci-poetry value.This paper is mainly divided into the following four parts: First of all,by studying the preface,postscript and catalogue of the words engraved in Siyinzhai,we can determine the printing time of each word collection and its book formation process.Secondly,determine the source of all the word collections in Siyinzhai,find out the changes made by Wang Pengyun during the collation,and study the advantages and disadvantages of the base selection.Thirdly,through studying Wang Pengyun’s collation process,summarize his collation methods and ideas.And through the analysis of the words in the preface and postscript,this paper analyzes some of Wang Pengyun’s thoughts on Ci.Finally,the author analyzes the academic influence of the book of the words carved in Siyinzhai and the academic influence of Wang Pengyun’s collation activities.
