Melastoma dodecandrum lour is the dried entire plant of Melastomaceae Melastoma,belonging to the "Yin" medicine in the she medicine,distributing in 500~1600 meters attitude,it converges to liver,spleen,lung channel.It has the abilities of clearing heat,activating blood circulation,detoxifying,promoting diuresis,cooling blood and hemostasis.Melastoma dodecandrum lour mainly contains flavonoids,terpenoids and steroids,amino acids,lactones,polysaccharides,organic acids etc.Modern pharmacological studies have shown that it has the effects of hemostatic,analgesic,anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor,anti AGE production,hypoglycemic,lipid-lowering and so on.The clinical study found that Melastoma dodecandrum lour can cure hepatitis.The review summaried the chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Melastoma dodecandrum lour.In this research,morphological characters and microscopic identification of Melastoma dodecandrum lour were described and illustrated.Its stems has four prism,creeping up,leaves opposite,entire or with dense shallow serrulate,cork cells were polygonal or oblong,nonglandular hair is composed of a plurality of single cells,calcium oxalate crystals are more sharp edges,stone cell is rectangular or square.Vitexin,isovitexin,rutin in Melastoma dodecandrum lour were identified by Silica gel thin layer,15 batches of melastoma dodecandrum lour herbs,control species and mixed reference substance have the same color in the same position.The method is reliable,convenient,simple and time saving.The paper studied the moisture content,total ash content,acid insoluble ash content,water soluble extractives.The content of moisture of 15 batches should not exceed 13.0%,the total ash content should not exceed 15.0%,the acid insoluble ash content should not exceed 3.0%,the water soluble extractives should be not less than 8.0%.Using high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),establish QAMS quality evaluation model of flavonoids in melastoma dodecandrum lour.With vitexin as the internal reference,the correction factor calculated between isovitexin,rutin and the internal reference were 0.8947、0.5004,the relative retention between vitexin,rutin and the internal reference values were 1.1844 and 1.3915;the measured value of the external standard method is verified by the calculation value of QAMS,the results show that the 3 components of the above medicinal in melastoma dodecandrum lour by QAMs method is stable and reliable,simple and quick.The 15 batches of the total amount of vitexin,isovitexin and rutin in the 0.06%~0.39%.Establishing a HPLC method for determination of three terpenoids(asiatic acid,betulinic acid,oleanolic acid).The experimental results show that the method is precise,accurate and reproducible,can be used to control the content of three terpenoids in melastoma dodecandrum lour.The 15 batches of three terpenoids in total from 0.06%to 0.19%.Our group found that water extract of melastoma dodecandrum lour has certain antihepatitis B virus function,1 day old Beijing duck was used as an vivo experimental animal model of hepatitis B virus(HBV),explore the mechanisms of melastoma dodecandrum lour.against hepatitis B virus.DHBVDNA content in duck serum by fluorescence quantitative PCR,the content DHBV HBeAg and DHBV HBsAg in duck serum was detected by ELISA,the experimental results show that the DHBV DNA level of water extracts of high dose group(6.0 g/kg)significantly decreased(P<0.05)after treatment.After 7 days of withdrawal,the level of DHBV DNA had a certain rebound phenomenon,the middle dose group(4.0 g/kg)and low dose group(3.0 g/kg)had no significant decrease of DHBV DNA level,the effects of DHBeAg and DHBsAg levels were similar to that of DHBV DNA.Melastoma dodecandrum lour water extracts anti hepatitis B virus(HBV)effect have a certain relationship with the dosage and medication time.
