Objective:In this study, patients with irritable bowel syndrome were observed. The clinical efficacy and differences of the treatment of IBS were compared between Large intestine Hemu points plus Zusanli and Large intestine Hemu points plus Zusanli and Neiguan. The efficacy and safety of Large intestine Hemu points plus acupuncture with different acupoints in the treatment of IBS and the improvement of abdominal and gastrointestinal symptoms, quality of life and psychological aspects of IBS patients were observed. Methods:From April 2021 to February 2023,50 patients with IBS were selected from the outpatient department of the rehabilitation department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the outpatient department of Puyang Anorectal Hospital.Using a randomized controlled method,IBS patients were divided into acupuncture group A 25 cases and acupuncture group B 25 cases.Acupuncture group A:bilateral Tianshu,Shangjuxu and Zusanli points, acupuncture group B:bilateral Tianshu,Shangjuxu,Zusanli and Neiguan points. Both groups were treated with acupuncture for 30 minutes each time, and the acupoints were stimulated by twisting manipulation every 10 minutes for 30 seconds, once every other day, three times a week, for a total of 4 weeks, followed up after 4 weeks. Both groups completed the screening test of negative fecal occult blood test before treatment. Before treatment,2 weeks after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment, the abdominal severity scale(IBS-SSS),gastrointestinal symptom score(GSRS)scale, work and social adaptation(WSAS)scale,self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)were completed respectively, and adverse events were recorded in time during treatment. After 4 weeks of follow-up,the IBS-SSS scale and WSAS scale were completed. After the follow-up,the collected data were statistically analyzed.Results:1.A total of 50 patients were included in this study,25 in acupuncture group A and 25 in acupuncture group B,with no shedding cases. There was no significant difference in gender, age, course of disease and IBS-SSS scale,GSRS scale,WSAS scale,SAS and SDS scale scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).2.Abdominal and gastrointestinal symptoms:After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, the scores of IBS-SSS and GSRS scales in the two groups were significantly lower than those in the same group before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).Compared with 2 weeks of treatment, the score of 4 weeks of treatment decreased more significantly, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After 4 weeks of follow-up,the IBS-SSS scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those of the same group before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).After 2 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate and significant effective rate of IBS-SSS scale in acupuncture group A were 44%and 12%,and those in acupuncture group B were 68%and 16%,respectively.The total effective rate of GSRS scale was 32%in acupuncture group A and 56%in acupuncture group B.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate and markedly effective rate of IBS-SSS scale in acupuncture group A were 68%and 24%,respectively,and those in acupuncture group B were 80%and 76%,respectively.The total effective rate of GSRS scale was 52%,and that in acupuncture group B was 72%.There was no significant difference in the total effective rate of IBS-SSS scale and GSRS scale between the two groups(P>0.05).There was a significant difference in the total effective rate of IBS-SSS scale(P<0.01).3.Work and quality of life:After 2,4 weeks of treatment and 4 weeks of follow-up,the scores of WSAS scale in the two groups were significantly lower than those in the same group before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01),and the score decreased more significantly after 4 weeks of treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, there was no significant difference in WSAS scale scores between the two groups(P>0.05).4.Anxiety and depression:After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, the SAS scale and SDS scale scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01),and the two groups were significantly improved after 4 weeks of treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment, there was no significant difference in SAS scale and SDS scale scores between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Large intestine Hemu points plus Zusanli,Large intestine Hemu points plus Zusanli and Neiguan acupuncture treatment in the treatment of IBS are definite, and they are effective in relieving IBS abdominal and gastrointestinal symptoms, quality of life and psychological abnormalities. The curative effect is the best after 4 weeks of treatment. Moreover, the acupoints are streamlined and have good long-term efficacy, which is worthy of clinical promotion.2.Compared with Large intestine Hemu points plus Zusanli group,Large intestine Hemu points plus Zusanli and Neiguan group acupuncture treatment has a good synergistic effect in improving the abdominal symptoms of IBS patients, and has played a synergistic effect of regulating the intestine and stomach at Neiguan point, reflecting the characteristics of acupoint compatibility of ’synergistic effect’.
