Purpose: In this study, electro acupuncture or acupuncture were respectively used to treat hyperactive liver-yang type migraine,to observe the clinical efficacy of both, and to explore the clinical advantages of electroacupuncture in the treatment of hyperactive liver-yang type migraine, with the goal of offering valuable insights and guidance for the clinical management of hyperactive liver-yang type migraine.Material and method:Patients who met the inclusion criteria for hyperactive liveryang migraine were recruited and randomly assigned to either a treatment group(electroacupuncture group)or a control group(acupuncture group)using the random number table method. The treatment group received electroacupuncture therapy, targeting mainly the Taixi(both sides),Taichong(both sides),and Temporal three acupuncture points on the affected side. The control group received acupuncture therapy without electricity. Both groups received treatment for two courses as per the doctor’s instructions. The outcomes will be measured based on pain severity, symptom severity, and quality of life, with the aim of developing improved treatments for hyperactive liver-yang migraine in the future.Treatment:: The therapy was administered once daily, with each treatment course lasting five days.Patients underwent a total of four treatment courses.the treatment course is connected with the middle two days rest, evaluation of the effectiveness of the treatment is completed.Results:1.Visual analog scale(VAS)comparison: After treatment, the migraine pain index of both groups was significantly decreased,In addition, the VAS score(Visual Analog Scale score)of the electroacupuncture group was significantly lower than that of the acupuncture group,Correct, the significant difference in VAS score between the electroacupuncture group and acupuncture group suggests that electroacupuncture may be a more effective treatment than acupuncture alone in reducing pain severity for patients with hyperactive liver-yang migraine.2.Comparison of relevant indicators in Clinical Guidelines for New Chinese Medicine: After treatment, subjects in the two groups had significantly reduced migraine pain degree, frequency of attacks,Upon further analysis,it was found that after treatment, there were no significant differences in the number of migraine attacks, duration, and accompanying symptoms between the two groups(P>0.05).This suggests that while electroacupuncture may be more effective in reducing pain severity,it may not have a significant impact on the overall frequency, duration, and accompanying symptoms of hyperactive liver-yang migraine attacks. After treatment, the pain degree and total score of electroacupuncture group were significantly lower than those of acupuncture group(P<0.05).3.After two courses of treatment, the electroacupuncture group demonstrated a clinical cure rate of 40.00%,significant efficiency rate of 46.67%,effective rate of 46.67%,ineffective rate of 0.00%,and a total effective rate of 100%.Meanwhile,the acupuncture group showed a clinical cure rate of 10.00%,significant efficiency rate of 36.67%,effective rate of 40.00%,ineffective rate of 13.33%,and a total effective rate of 86.67%.Statistical analysis revealed that the comprehensive curative effect of the electroacupuncture group was significantly better than that of the acupuncture group(P<0.05).These results suggest that electroacupuncture may provide a more effective treatment option for hyperactive liver-yang migraine patients compared to acupuncture alone. Conclusion:Electroacupuncture therapy can obviously improve the clinical symptoms of patients with hyperactive liver-yang type migraine, and has high safety, better efficacy than acupuncture treatment, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
