Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupotomy releasing the trigger point of myofascial chain on Shoulder joint periarthritis in freezing period, and to explore a new method for the treatment of Shoulder joint periarthritis. Methods: From January 2022 to February 2023,60 patients with frozen periarthritis of shoulder were treated in the acupuncture and moxibustion Department of Hunan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,with30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with needle knife release of the trigger point on the myofascial chain, once every 7 days as a course of treatment, for a total of 2 courses of treatment; The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture once a day,5 times a week, and a course of treatment every 7 days, totaling 2 courses of treatment.Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and Constant Murley Score(ADL,ROM,MMT)of Shoulder joint were evaluated in the two groups. Results: 1.The total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 89.66% and 83.33% respectively, and there was no significant difference by Chi-squared test(P>0.05);The effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 72.41% and 43.33% respectively, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)by Chi-squared test.2.The VAS scores of the treatment group before and after treatment were 3.379 ± 0.862 and1.897 ± 0.618,respectively.After paired t-test,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The VAS scores of the control group before and after treatment were 3.467 ± 0.730 and 2.367 ± 0.615,respectively.After paired t-test,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).3.The CMS scores of the treatment group before and after treatment were 57.586 ± 5.565 and84.655 ± 3.568,respectively.After paired t-test,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The CMS scores of the control group before and after treatment were 58.533 ± 4.867 and 76.967 ± 6.990,respectively.After paired t-test,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in CMS scores between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion: Both acupotomy and conventional acupuncture can alleviate the pain of periarthritis of shoulder in freezing period, improve the range of motion of Shoulder joint, and further improve the daily activity of patients’ Shoulder joint, and the effect of acupotomy on releasing the trigger point of myofascial chain is better than that of conventional acupuncture.
