Covid-19 Pandemic is still wreaking havoc across the globe, changing the normality of every corner of our society, including the regular mode of interpreting and classroom instruction. However,it provides new opportunities for two communication industries, online interpreting and online teaching. The two have been more popular since the outbreak of the pandemic.Due to the prevention and control measures and safety concerns,a Polish teacher could not come to Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics campus to teach the Course of Interior Design on site.Instead, his recorded videos help him teach the Course online, which consists of a series of lectures targeted at the junior students majoring in Environmental Design. The course posts challenges for students because they need to understand what the teacher is talking about, and they need to acquaint themselves with the terminology and definition of architecture.Under this situation, interpreting assistance is significant for the course, which is the essence and the object of this interpretation study report.Hans J.Vermeer, the advocate of Skopos Theory, holds the view that the translation purpose determines the translation process, the result determines approaches to be employed. The interpreter needs to assist students to fulfill the syllabus requirements. So the goal of this interpretation task is self-evident.That is why Skopos Theory is selected as its theoretical framework to guide through the research on the two E-C consecutive interpreting practices:Minimum Dwelling(online course interpreting)and Hotel and Apartment(offline classroom interpreting). It reviews those two interpreting practices, sorts out the critical and challenging problems that bumped into the online and offline classroom and summarizes interpreting skills and methods that are proper and appropriate for fulfilling the task.It is challenging for the author to deliver the information effectively and efficiently because of lacking adequate interpreting experience, limited interpreting ability, and architecture-related knowledge.Hence, this report reviews the process in order to provide suggestions for further improving the author’s interpreting ability. Also, this report is hopeful to shed light on architecture-related interpreting tasks and other course interpreting.
