Narrative Research Of Public Interest Documentary

Public-interest documentaries bear certain social functions and public attributes,pay attention to the life problems of ordinary people,and show the real content of real life based on the people and social life Commonweal theme documentary film on the basis of the documentary,the people and things in real life,for creative content,the object of performance directly reflects the social life the most true side,at the same time,with the most direct way of recording of image to maximize the reduction of social reality,reflect the development of the society,causing the most emotional resonance,asked reflection in real life As a special form of expression that originates from reality and reflects reality,public-interest documentary undertakes the important mission of recording life and serving the public.This paper first has a preliminary understanding of the relevant concepts,characteristics and basic forms of the public interest documentary,and then makes an in-depth discussion on the narrative mode and narrative strategy adopted by the theme.Taking narrative mode as the starting point,this paper discusses three aspects of narrative characteristics: social narrative,popular narrative and representative narrative.In the narrative content through the event core and character and action two parts of the study;In the narrative structure,from the block narrative structure,open narrative structure,flashback and episodic structure,fragment structure are discussed;Finally,from the perspective of narrative,zero focus,internal focus and external focus are discussed.In the narrative strategy part of public-interest documentary,it focuses on the public interest element,emotion creation and story construction of public-interest documentary.The public interest element part is mainly discussed from the theme and perspective,plot and details.Emotion creation is discussed from three aspects:picture,light and color,and character shaping.Story construction,from the film’s storytelling expression,lens language,the rhythm of the film,and the balance of "real" and storytelling four points to discuss,so as to deeply understand how to tell each public interest documentary story.Combined with the personal creation practice of the author’s graduation project "Let’s Go Together",the experience and inspiration are summarized,which has certain research value and practical significance for the future development of public-interest documentary.At the same time,creators should try their best to maintain the quality of public-interest documentaries,adjust the narrative mode and strategies used in the documentaries themselves,and tell each public-interest story well so that it can adapt to social life and arouse more people’s attention and thinking.
