Tan Dun’s “Memories Of Eight Watercolor Paintings” Creation Characteristics And Performance Analysis

"Memories of the Eight Watercolor paintings" is a work created by Tan Dun that uses western modern creative techniques to show national characteristics and contain a strong atmosphere of "Hunan and Chu culture".In this paper,the author studies and discusses the creative characteristics and performance of the work.Firstly,the theoretical analysis of the creative background,style analysis,the nationalization of music language,the use of different national instruments,the grasp of different musical conception and rhythm,pedal and polyphony,aims to understand the works and realize the unique charm of piano works with Chinese characteristics,to better express the emotion and strong Chinese charm.
