As one of the most widely used languages in the world,English plays an important media role in international communication,scientific and cultural exchanges.As an important means of communication,oral language has put forward clear requirements from the level of curriculum standards.As a result,schools at all stages have tried to improve and innovate the modes and methods of oral language teaching.Among the many teaching modes aiming at cultivating ability,gamification oral English teaching focuses on the interest of students’ learning experience and the interactivity of the learning process.It has attracted the attention of more and more scholars and teachers.However,after communicating with teachers and reviewing relevant literature,it was found that the design and implementation of gamification oral English teaching in primary school still had problems and misunderstandings such as formalism,unreasonable time allocation,and lacking of feedback.Based on this,this research focuses on how to improve the effectiveness of gamification oral English teaching,presenting oral English teaching by means of games that students are interested in,so as to enhance students’ interest in "speaking English" and students dare to speak in English.Using games as a means can improve students’ willingness to interact with teachers in the classroom,actively answer questions,participate in classroom activities,and speak English after class actively.The research in this paper can be mainly divided into three stages,the literature review stage,the teaching activity design and implementation stage,and research results analysis and summary stage.The research contents are as follows:In the first stage,according to the problems found in practice of primary school oral English teaching,the author analyzes the research situation at home and abroad,concise the current problems and use error,summarizes the principles of gamification teaching design and use,summarizes the previous research experience and deficiencies,show the design ideas and framework of English oral gamification teaching.In the second stage,the questionnaire survey and oral ability test were conducted on the experimental class and the control class students.According to the problems and teaching needs,the gamification oral English teaching activities were carried out in a semester.In the process of the experiment,I also constantly reflect on the shortcomings of students’ classroom performance and teaching design,and correct and improve them,so as to gradually optimize the teaching design.In the third stage,questionnaire,interview and scores are used to test the teaching effect,and SPSS 26.0 software is used to make horizontal and vertical comparison to get the effect of gamification oral teaching.This paper analyzes and summarizes the suggestions for improvement of gamification oral English teaching in primary schools,in order to provide reference for oral English teaching.The conclusion shows that gamification oral English teaching has a significant meaning in improving students’ interest,attention,participation and practice,strengthening students’ dominant position in learning,and improving the oral ability of learners.Students are more interested in oral English learning,actively participating in the classroom,being full of interest,promoting the change of students’ emotional attitudes in learning,effectively ensuring the effect of students’ classroom learning,and they also willing to complete after-class practice tasks,and their confidence in "speaking English" is increasing day by day,seeking more practice and show space,just accumulated like this,and their oral English ability gradually developed.Under the guidance of teachers,the teachers cultivate students’ English cultural consciousness gradually,pay attention to the differences between Chinese and western culture in English learning,and the students are willing to understand and accept other culture and have an international vision.
