| According to the English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022Edition),students should develop their language ability through English course learning,and can be able to understand the similarities and differences between English and Chinese,gradually form language awareness,accumulate language experience,and carry out meaningful communication and exchange according to the language practice activities such as perception,experience,accumulation and application.This emphasizes the importance of oral English.With the advent of the Covid-19,classroom teaching has been transferred from offline to online,and how to conduct oral English teaching online should become the focus of teachers’ attention.This paper mainly focuses on online oral English teaching in senior primary schools to carry out research,and mainly to solve the following problems: first,the analysis of the current situation of online oral English teaching in higher grade of primary schools;Secondly,the problems existing in online oral English teaching in higher grade,and analyze the reasons.Third,the improvement strategies of online oral English teaching in upper grade of primary schools.First of all,this study conducted an in-depth investigation on senior primary school students and teachers by questionnaire and interview.Through the collection of data information,it was found that in the process of online teaching,the teaching method adopted by teachers was very simple,which was only carried out by the traditional ways of asking students to listen to the tape and read after the text.Moreover,the phenomenon of teachers’ Sinicization was common,teaching in English is rarely used,teachers also have a very poor understanding of online oral English teaching,there is less interaction between teachers and students,students for online learning participation is not high,they often appear slack,and most of the students have fear and anxiety about speaking English.Secondly,it puts forward some feasible suggestions for the problems in online oral English teaching: teachers should have a full understanding of online oral English teaching;teachers should design appropriate online oral English teaching activities;teachers should improve their oral English level;students should exercise their will quality,form self-discipline;students should listen more,practice more and speak more;students should overcome the negative emotions of fear and nervousness. |
