On The Primitive Tendency In Gauguin’s Works And Its Influence On Me

As a pioneer of primitive symbolism,Gauguin occupies a very important position in the history of modern art with his primitive and wild works of art and painting ideas.Because of his important artistic achievements and far-reaching influence,Gauguin has been the key object of research and attention in the discipline of art history for a long time.On the basis of previous studies,combined with a large number of literature resources,this paper adopts the methods of image analysis,comparative analysis and other disciplines,takes the original tendency in Gauguin’s painting as the research core,deeply studies the causes of the formation of the original tendency in Gauguin’s painting,analyzes the expression methods of the original tendency,and learns Gauguin’s painting language,so as to apply it in my own creation in order to form my own painting language.Firstly,this paper describes the "primitive" trend at the end of the 19 th century and the beginning of the 20 th century,and explains the concept of "primitive" by consulting materials.The second is the expression of primitive tendency in Gauguin’s painting,including the creation of Gauguin’s painting subject matter under the influence of religion,in formal language,such as simple and general lines,strong and fresh colors and so on.Gauguin’s painting language has had a far-reaching impact on modern art creation.Artistic ideas include deep-rooted primitive complex and painting ideas against naturalism.This is a great inspiration for my painting.Everyone has his own exploration and thinking about the painting language.By learning from the original art,I can obtain a new creative language,and my creation is from this point of view.
