| With the steady development of China’s comprehensive strength,China’s national image has received widespread attention at home and abroad.Building a good national image is of great significance to my country’s high-quality development.As a window for the dissemination of national images,historical documentaries are particularly prominent in the construction of national images.However,most documentaries have problems such as homogenization of content and single narrative perspective.It is difficult to construct a three-dimensional and diverse national image,which is not conducive to the external dissemination of national image.This paper takes the historical documentary "China" as the research object,adopts text analysis method,case study method,and uses related theories of visual rhetoric and communication semiotics to study the visual text symbols,narrative structure,narrative perspective,accompanying text,etc.presented in "China"."China" national image construction related experience.The study found that "China" has two major characteristics in the construction of text symbols: first,it fully uses non-verbal symbols such as color,space,and scene to shape the image of China;second,it uses verbal symbols such as commentaries and background sounds to tell Chinese stories;third,In terms of narrative strategy,"China" adopts an omniscient perspective to narrate,and at the same time,it expresses emotions from an internal perspective,so that the documentary has both objective discussion and reflection of thoughts and feelings.The depth of understanding of the content of "China" has also increased the breadth of the content of the documentary "China".This article takes the documentary "China" as the research object,and analyzes the innovative aspects of "China" in telling Chinese stories and conveying Chinese voices,in order to provide reference for the creation of similar documentaries in my country,and provide thinking for expanding the influence and dissemination of Chinese culture. |
