Research On The Musical Composition Of The National Opera Song Of Youth

The national opera Song of Youth,created by the Opera Research Institute of Peking University,is based on the novel of the same name by Chinese writer Yang Mo.In the context of today’s cultural self-confidence,the play is dedicated to the 60 th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China,and the revolutionary cultural content contained in it has important contemporary significance and research value.This study mainly analyzes the opera from the aspects of script adaptation,music composition and orchestral arrangement.First of all,the content of the script and the original novel were compared and studied,the secondary creation of the script of the play follows the principle of opera adaptation,the part that is not suitable for opera performance is appropriately "deleted" and "replaced",so that the opera as a whole is more musical and dramatic on the basis of conforming to the above principles;secondly,the representative singing sections in the opera(Aria,Arioso,Narration,Ensemble,Duet and Chorus)as the starting point,from the melodic structure,mode tonality,After analyzing and studying the play from the perspective of harmonic textures,it was found that the character image was further deepened and shaped in the opera expression means that integrated Chinese elements,so that it did not destroy the main plot of the original novel,but also completely restored the storyline in the form of opera,which was in line with the artistic creation law of opera;The composition method and other aspects of the character singing section and music paragraph analysis and exploration,orchestral music creation using Western traditional instrumental techniques throughout the entire Chinese national opera,so that it is based on the Chinese historical revolutionary materials as the basis to build a national opera with a "symphonic" nature.At present,China’s national opera is still in the stage of development,and Song of Youth is not mature enough in some aspects,but it has played a certain role in promoting the development of China’s national opera and has certain progressive significance.
