Tribute map is a kind of political image with a long history.It is generally used to express the dynasty imagination of the four directions coming to the Dynasty and the Heavenly Kingdom.There are many image forms in the tribute map.The author divides the tribute map into four categories,among which the image form of “Tribute-bearers from ten countries” is the most special.There are several tribute teams in the form of units in the “Tribute-bearers from ten countries”.Each team has tribute objects,but they are not drawn.On the contrary,the overall picture shows the characteristics of treasure offering map.At the same time,“Tribute-bearers from ten countries” is mostly signed under the name of Li Gonglin.The author calls this batch of images Li Gonglin’s “Tribute-bearers from ten countries”.The images of the figures and tribute animals in Li Gonglin’s “Tribute-bearers from ten countries”are mostly odd and different,and the strokes are also rough and sketchy.There are also the phenomenon of modularization and multiple births in the images,which are the characteristics of commercial painting.After searching for the relevant calligraphy and painting description documents,the author found that most of the “Tribute-bearers from ten countries” are fake paintings made in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,while the “Tribute-bearers from ten countries” of Li Gonglin’s style is closely related to the fake book “Bao Hua Lu” of the late Ming Dynasty.Moreover,the map of Li Gonglin’s “Ten countries map” recorded by the Song Dynasty is more related to the new tribute maps of the Tang Dynasty.The pictures painted by Li Gonglin are not for public money,but for the public property.By comparing pictures and documents,this paper tries to find out some falsification logic in the “Tribute-bearers from ten countries”.The emergence of commercial fake paintings such as “Tribute-bearers from ten countries”by Li Gonglin shows that the connotation of the tribute map has changed greatly.The author found that in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the function of offering treasure and birthday became common.At the same time,the “Tribute-bearers from ten countries” is missing in a batch of official tribute maps drawn by the Qing palace,so as to speculate the function of Li Gonglin’s“Tribute-bearers from ten countries”.The appearance of Li Gonglin’s “Tribute-bearers from ten countries” reflects the changes of the function of the tribute map on the one hand,and the way of counterfeiting in the calligraphy and painting market in the Ming and Qing Dynasties on the other hand..
