After stage a narrative,nonlinear narrative structure has been constantly breakthrough in the field of theory and practice and innovation,the original form so that all kinds of nonlinear narrative structure the in structure and performance of the form have also been presented the development trend of diversification,until in 1994 the emergence of "pulp fiction" quentin director,The nonlinear narrative of a seed mode----ring narrative,appear in front of the audience and the public is well known,ring narrative structure as a new narrative structure,because of its chaotic interleaving of time and space,the cycle of cause and effect reciprocating,end of the echo connection,ending without beginning and end and different from the traditional linear narrative.In addition,the circular narrative structure,as a product of the impact of post-modernism,originally has the characteristics of collage and fragmentation of the plot,bringing the audience a brand new film watching experience.At a time when artistic taste is gradually declining and the quality of the film industry is questionable,circular narrative films will help people to re-appreciate the unique charm of cinema.In the current film market,there have been a lot of high-quality circular narrative films,from "Before the Rain","Mementos" and "Cruise Ship horror",which have become popular in Hollywood in recent years,to "The Coffin in the Mountain","Wrath Of Silence" and "The Dead End",which have been made in China with small budget but win both word-of-mouth and box office,all of which demonstrate the unique attraction of circular narrative to audiences.This paper will be from the domestic and foreign well-known circular narrative movie and scholars on the research results of circular narrative,with circular narrative structure as the research focus,mainly discussing the definition of circular narrative structure,structure,main features and the use of limit problem to reveal its aesthetic value and commercial value,combined with his graduate work in full "half a mouth like coffins" of the creative process,Including the analysis of every clue in the story,the perspective switch of each character,the development of the story in different time and space and so on to elaborate the author’s understanding of the sub-mode of nonlinear narrative-----ring narrative in the actual creation process of film and television script.In the introduction part of this paper,firstly introduces the research background and significance of ring narrative in the development of the current film market;Secondly,it defines several key concepts in this paper--linear narrative,nonlinear narrative and circular narrative.This paper discusses the research status of ring narrative at home and abroad again,including the academic point of view of film theory and the actual film shooting in film practice,and discusses the current development of ring narrative.Then the author briefly describes his own research ideas and research methods used in this paper.Finally,the author summarizes the plot of the author’s graduation work "Half of the coffin",giving readers a preliminary impression of the script story.Then the first chapter of this paper mainly discusses the rise of ring narrative,the basic form and creation characteristics;The second chapter describes the strategy of using ring narrative structure in the script "Half of the coffin",mainly from the three concepts of "Novikov’s self-consistency principle","breakpoint narrative" and "Mobius ring" to discuss the innovative use of ring narrative.The third chapter divides the artistic effect that Half of the coffin tries to achieve into two parts: the construction of narrative mode and the expression of theme meaning.Based on these two parts,it analyzes the understanding of the aesthetic value of the circular narrative structure in Half of the coffin.The fourth chapter mainly reflects on the deficiencies in the use and understanding of the circular narrative structure in the creation process of the novel "Half of the coffin",and puts forward suggestions on the existing defects of the circular narrative structure and the places worthy of improvement.Finally,in the conclusion part,the author makes multi-dimensional speculation and positive outlook on the current development status and future development situation of ring narrative structure.
