With the rapid development of modern information technologies such as artificial intelligence,human beings have begun to enter the intelligent society and intelligent era.While artificial intelligence has brought great changes to our way of life,it is also gradually affecting the field of education.In particular,technologies such as machine translation,speech recognition and language understanding of artificial intelligence provide great convenience for language learning.At present,there is a lack of theoretical models based on empirical evidence in China to explain the factors that affect students’ willingness to use AI learning applications.Therefore,this study will take the AI-based English learning APP —— Kou Yu 100 as an example to establish a research model to capture the relationship between performance expectation,effort expectation,hedonic motivation,communication intention,interaction with artificial intelligence and willingness to continue using AI-based applications.Based on the relevant theories and studies on Technology Acceptance and Use,combined with the characteristics of artificial intelligence English learning applications,the UTAUT model is selected as the basic model,and two variables of interaction with artificial intelligence and willingness to communicate are added to construct A hypothetical model of factors influencing primary school students’ willingness to continue using artificial intelligence-based English learning apps.According to the model,a questionnaire was designed for primary school students to continue to use the AI-based application,and SPSS and AMOS software were used to analyze the collected data,test the research hypothesis and revise the model.The study found that:(1)performance expectations,hedonic motivation,interaction with artificial intelligence and willingness to communicate positively and significantly affect primary school students’ attitudes toward AI-based applications,which in turn affect continued use intentions,And the effect size of the significant influencing factors from large to small is communication intention > hedonic motivation > interaction with artificial intelligence > performance expectation,while effort expectation has no significant effect.(2)Through the difference analysis,it is found that there is no difference between gender in each influencing factor of AI-based applications.The grades vary in various influencing factors,and the higher the grade,the lower the students’ attitudes and willingness to continue using AI-based applications.This study introduces two new dimensions of interaction with artificial intelligence and willingness to communicate,which expands the UTAUT model in new scenarios and enriches the existing theoretical system of technology acceptance.At the same time,it also provides a reference for the AI-based application in educational practice.
