Shangshu Zhushu, compiled by Kong Yingda and others in the Tang dynasty,is a landmark monograph in the history of the Shangshu study. It collects the important achievements of the Shangshu study in the Han Wei and Six Dynasties, which makes Shangshu have a unified final version.Shangshu Zhushu is based on Guwen Shangshu(annotated by Kong Anguo)offered by Meize in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and it comprehensively clarifies the scriptures and commentaries of Shangshu.Since the Song and Yuan dynasties, scholars have verified that Guwen Shangshu(annotated by Kong Anguo)is a pseudo book. The last time when pseudo-Guwen Shangshu quoted Erya was before Meize presented the book,so that pseudo-Guwen Shangshu possesses great value.Erya,as an exegesis dictionary, only by returning to the classical context can we clarify the semantic relationship between the exegetical words,as well as the relationship between the exegetical words and the classical texts in terms of proper borrowing, ancient and modern, and proper vulgarity. At present, some achievements have been made in the research on the version and collation of Shangshu Zhushu in academia, but the citation research on Shangshu Zhushu is not sufficient and comprehensive. In this paper,I conduct the research from the perspective of book citations, taking the content of Kong Yingda’s explaination of Kong Anguo’s Zhuan quoting from Erya in Shangshu Zhushu as the research object, and calculate the number of cited Erya entries(265 in total). The method of exemplification is used to classify and explain how Kong Yingda clarified the way in which Kong Anguo’s Zhuan quoted Erya.It is found that Kong Yingda’s Shu does not completely contain all parts of Erya cited in Kong’s Zhuan, which provides new materials for the study of Shangshu.Through the analysis of Kong Yingda’s elaboration of quoting Erya in Kong Anguo’s Zhuan, and according to Kong Yingda’s comparison and selection between Kong Anguo’s Zhuan and Zhengxuan’s Zhu,it further reveals Kong Yingda’s attitude of compliance with Kong Anguo’s Zhuan.Numerous references to Erya which is known as the definitive work on interpretation of the classics, also become an important embodiment of Kong Yingda’s academic thought of "following Kong Anguo’s Zhuan and promoting unification".In the process of compiling and analyzing the 265 entries mentioned above,17 cases of variant words between Shangshu and Erya in the process of transmission were found. The texts of Erya quoted in Kong Yingda’s Shu and Kong Anguo’s Zhuan are compared with the texts of each version of Shangshu and Erya, and the relationship between the origin of the characters used in the two is categorized and summarized.Through the analysis of 17 cases of variant words, the reasons for the different texts between Shangshu and Erya are summarized by combining various factors such as the spread of Shangshu and Erya, the dispute between the modern and ancient texts of Shangshu, the change of characters by Weibao, and the change of the Erya by Kong Yingda,to reveal the relationship between the origins of the two.
