| The text draws its text from China’s Ecological Civilization in the New Era,chapter two.It published by Renmin University Press of China on March 31,2020 and edited by famous scholars Zhang Yunfei and Zhou Xin,with a total of 11,222 Chinese characters.China’s Ecological Civilization in the New Era is one of the book series “Know China and Understand China” and belongs to project to plan key publications for the “13th Five-Year Plan”.Based on the historical clues of 70 years of ecological civilization construction in New China,a comprehensive study of China?s ecological civilization construction is presented in this book.It mainly includes ecological civilization system construction and global ecological governance.The excerpts of this report systematically interpret Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization from historical,economic,political,cultural,social and global dimensions.This report principally exploits the “Comprehension,Expression,and Adaptation”(CEA)analysis framework raised by Li Changshuan in How to Write a Translation Practice Report: CEA Framework,Model Essays and Comments,supplements with the three major principles of “political equivalence theory”,namely,“political”,“dynamic” and “balanced” as the theoretical basis,discusses the translation of“numeral slogans”,“political neologisms” and “quoted classics” at the level of comprehension,explores “old expressions with new meanings”,“metaphorical expressions” and “idioms and colloquialisms” at the level of expression,and probing into the application of translation techniques such as “meaning and form”,“amplification” and “omission” at the level of adaptation.Through the induction and analysis of typical translation examples,this report summarizes the different translation strategies adopted.In terms of “political equivalence”,it assesses whether the transmission effect of this theory has been achieved,with the hope that this report will serve as a reference for future research and practice in China?s translation of foreign publicity and for further application of the theory. |
