With the transformation of city functions from production-oriented cities to consumption-oriented cities,the functions of cultural amenities such as theaters,parks,bars and shopping malls are increasingly prominent.Scene theory upholds the concept of culture supporting urban development,and believes that cultural amenities are the carriers to promote urban consumption,and cultural amenities with different value orientations create cultural scenes with different styles,which are very important to create urban characteristics,stimulate urban vitality,promote urban economic development and form urban spirit.Xi’an,as a national central city,has a certain gap between its overall development and Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou and Chengdu,etc.This gap is apparently the gap of economy,but the essence is the gap of urban cultural scene.What is the current situation of Xi’an’s cultural scene? What kind of characteristics does it present? How are these characteristics formed? Answering these key questions is of great importance for Xi’an to implement the urban scene strategy and promote urban renewal.Based on the basic theories and methods of urban management,urban sociology and cultural industry management,this paper defines the concepts of cultural scenes and cultural amenities and classifies the existing cultural scenes in Xi’an into natural ecology,leisure and shopping,special neighborhood and immersion experience based on the function.The analysis framework of cultural scenes was constructed,and 11 administrative districts of Xi’an were selected as the research objects.The cultural scene characteristics of Xi’an city were identified by using expert scoring,principal component analysis and partial least squares discriminant analysis.The results show that(1)at the objective level of cultural scenes,there is an uneven distribution of cultural comforts in urban areas of Xi’an,and the overall cultural amenities are concentrated in the central urban areas such as Beilin District,Weiyang District and Yanta District,while the distribution is sparse in the peripheral urban areas;(2)the overall characteristics of cultural scenes in Xi’an are: the transgressive characteristics are low,the good neighbor characteristics are high,and the differences in the love of showiness characteristics are the greatest;(3)according to the identified characteristics of cultural scenes in urban areas of Xi’an,Xi’an can be divided into three categories.identified,Xi’an city can be divided into three categories of areas: the first category of areas is Beilin district,which is characterized by showiness and formality;the second category of areas is Yanta district,Weiyang district,Lianhu district,Xincheng district,Chang’an district,Baqiao district,and Yanliang district,which is characterized by charm,enterprise,and neighborliness;the third category of areas is Gaoling district,Lintong district,and Shaanyi district,which is characterized by rationality and traditionalism.On this basis,the formation mechanism of cultural scenes in Xi’an is discussed in terms of history and culture,demographic structure,economic development and macro policies.Finally,the following countermeasures are proposed for the city of Xi’an: at the cultural level,the cultural characteristics of the city should be explored to shape unique scenes;at the social level,the cultural amenities should be reasonably laid out to meet the diversified needs of the public;at the economic level,the spatial service functions should be integrated to stimulate cultural consumption;at the macro policy level,the macro control of the government should be strengthened to play the role of "middleman".The macro policy level needs to strengthen the government’s macro control and play the role of "intermediary".
