The Tibet-Qiang-Yi Corridor located in the western region of China is rich in distinct ethnic culture, making it an important cultural belt, which is of special significance to the construction of Chinese cultural industry and regional development. At present, the Tibet-Qiang-Yi Cultural Industry Corridor is actively promoting the call for "agglomeration development" proposed in the "Overall Plan of the Tibet-Qiang-Yi Cultural Industry Corridor".With the agglomeration of cultural industries, the resulting agglomeration effect plays an increasingly prominent role in promoting regional economic development. However, blindly gathering may lead to the phenomenon of "clustering but not gathering" in the corridor. Therefore, accurate analysis of the cultural industries agglomeration effect in the Tibet-Qiang-Yi corridor and effective assessment of it in stages are the prerequisites for policy implementation. In order to provide scientific reference for policy formulation and optimization,it is very necessary to accurately measure the agglomeration effect of cultural industries in the Tibet-Qiang-Yi Corridor. This paper firstly introduces the research background and significance, and reviews the domestic and foreign researches on industrial agglomeration and agglomeration effect. At the same time.Secondly,it sorts out and defines the relevant theories and concepts involved, and provides a basis for subsequent empirical research. Then,it studies the development status of the cultural industry in the Tibet-Qiang-Yi corridor and analyzes its spatial distribution and evolution through Arc GIS software. It is found that the cultural industry in the corridor has formed a preliminary agglomeration.Next, the cultural industry agglomeration level from 2014 to 2021 is accurately measured.Specifically, the improved comprehensive location entropy index(LQ),the Herfindahl index(HHI),and the industry concentration index(CRn)were used to measure the degree of agglomeration globally, locally and structurally to analyze the characteristics and trends of cultural industry agglomeration in the corridor from multiple perspectives. Finally, the agglomeration effect model based on the CES production function is constructed to measure the agglomeration effect of the cultural industry in the Tibet-Qiang-Yi corridor, and further analyzes it from three aspects: interior, layout, and urban agglomeration economy. On this basis, specific policy suggestions for promoting the agglomeration of cultural industries in the Tibet-Qiang-Yi Corridor are put forward in a targeted manner.Through the above research, the conclusions are summarized as follows.First, the agglomeration of cultural industries in the corridor has initially appeared and has shown an upward trend, but the degree of internal agglomeration varies greatly, and the agglomeration of public cultural industries is less than that of business.Second, the return to scale effect of the agglomeration of cultural industries in the corridor experienced a fluctuating growth, mainly manifested in three stages overlapping some years, which gradually increased from 2010 to 2015,decreased to a negative effect from2012 to 2017,and continued to increase from 2014 to 2021.Third,the interior and urban agglomeration economy are steadily improving, while the agglomeration economy in the layout is negative, which shows that the comparative advantage of location is not fully utilized and the current cultural industry structure is not conducive to the growth of agglomeration benefits. Therefore,it is in need of optimization and adjustment urgently.Fourth, according to the measurement results, governments at all levels in the Tibet-Qiang-Yi Corridor need to optimize the policy system and policy content in a timely manner in terms of timeliness, resource allocation,orientation,cutting-edge,planning and attractiveness to adapt to its dynamic changes.
