In today’s economic context,people have a more complex consumer psychology and their material needs are more inclined to the symbolic and cultural connotations of the goods themselves.The regional characteristics of geography and culture,as well as materials,techniques and technologies,are integrated into the design of goods,which become a medium of communication in the form of consumption,and are given a rich variety of functional and symbolic meanings.In this context,Jingdezhen’s unique geographical advantage,the division of labour in the ceramic industry,and its diverse and convenient sales platform have attracted more and more youth to initiate their own businesses in the city,and the ’Jing drifters’ have become a beautiful part of the city’s landscape.This paper give priority to five aspects of Jingdezhen ceramic jewellery:traditional decorative patterns and production techniques,the material characteristics of the ceramics themselves,the symbolic meaning of glaze colours,the use of integrated materials and the importance of tools in the production of ceramic jewellery.It also concludes by highlighting the importance of the identity of ceramic jewellery design in Jingdezhen and its sustainable development.The aim of the thesis is to identify and emphasise the cultural attributes and aesthetic expressions of ceramic materials and techniques in the application of jewellery design,while highlighting the influence of fashion and technology on the application of ceramic jewellery design and the possibility of its expansion.In the midst of multiple fusions and individual differences,the identity and fashion characteristics of ceramic jewellery are established.It is expected to provide informative comments to practitioners related to ceramic jewellery.
