New Narrative Strategy Of Character Documentary In The Context Of New Media

The character documentary is a new form of documentary development under the new media environment.It has been widely concerned by virtue of its short length,rich and diverse themes,fast communication speed,catering to the audience’s viewing habits and other advantages.The research on character documentaries is also on the rise and has become the focus of the current academic field.Therefore,based on the background of new media,this paper takes the character documentary as the research object,and starts from the creation of the original character documentary,21 Colorful World,to explore the narrative strategy innovation of the character documentary,hoping to provide some guidance and reference for the creation of the character documentary in the new media environment.In the introduction part,the author first combs and analyzes the research background and reason of the creation of character documentaries in the context of new media,as well as the research status at home and abroad,and briefly summarizes the shooting content of the author’s graduation work "The Colorful world of 21".In the first chapter,it combs and summarizes the concept of new media context and character documentary,and analyzes the impact of new media context on the creation of character documentary.In the second chapter,the author starts from the topic selection strategy and summarizes the characteristics of the topic selection of documentaries under the new media context through the analysis of some excellent characters’ documentaries.The third chapter analyzes the narrative feature of the character documentary,and finds that the character documentary in the context of new media has integrated new features such as "fragmentation","separable" and "cross-type integration".In the fourth chapter,we focus on the innovation of narrative element of character documentaries in the new media era,the civilian narrative perspective,the use of visual special effects such as flower animation,and the narrative text full of web feeling are all its new changes.Finally,it summarizes the innovation of the creation method of character documentaries in the context of new media.
