An Inquiry Into The Performance Of Jasmine Fantasia

Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,Chinese piano art has been widely concerned by the music industry.Most composers take folk music as material,and on this basis,combine with western composition techniques,so that their music works have some innovations on the basis of retaining the original style and tunes,and piano music creation has more national style characteristics.Mr.Chu Wanghua,a famous pianist and composer,has composed and adapted dozens of Chinese folk songs and traditional folk instrumental music over the years,presenting the unique charm and artistic conception of Chinese traditional music and making great contributions to the development of piano music.Jasmine Fantasia,as its classic adaptation,based on the western composition techniques,integrates the elements of Chinese folk music,so as to make the characteristics of folk music Western-style expression,and provides a new idea for exploring the nationalization of Chinese piano music,which has high research value.Taking Jasmine Fantasia as the research object,this paper briefly summarizes the origin of Jasmine Fantasia and Chu Wanghua’s personal introduction.Through the analysis of musical ontology of musical form structure,harmonic language and melody,combined with my own interpretation experience,the performance of Jasmine Fantasia is deeply explored from multiple perspectives.Trying to find a scientific playing method to solve the technical difficulties encountered in playing.I hope that through this study,I can have a better understanding of the composer’s creative ideas,improve my own aesthetic cultivation,and help the performer to better interpret the works.
