A Review Of Jameson's Theory Of Cultural Logic Of Late Capitalis

The Logical Theory of Culture of Late Capitalism systematically discusses the origin,specific forms and basic characteristics of the culture of late capitalism.This theory aroused the wide attention of many scholars in the field of cultural thought at that time.Jameson believes that the emergence of postmodernist culture is due to the change of social foundation caused by the development of late capitalism,thus forming a special cultural system completely different from the previous one.Mass culture becomes the concrete expression of postmodernism,as opposed to modernism,which is embodied by high culture.The subversion between the two cultures has profound significance and influence.This paper is based on Jameson’s postmodern cultural logic theory to study the text,the main purpose is to understand the characteristics of postmodern culture more reasonably and accurately;Further study the development of Western Marxist theory;To further understand the overall characteristics of late capitalist social culture;Further,it provides valuable suggestions to the construction of Chinese characteristic socialism culture.
