| As China’s international status increases and exchanges with China become more frequent,more and more foreigners are learning Chinese,and there is a boom in Chinese language learning around the world.The Sangkha School is a government-run primary school in northeastern Thailand,and the number of students learning Chinese is increasing year by year.This paper takes the Chinese language teaching in Sangkha School in Thailand as the research object and conducts a comprehensive investigation and analysis of the Chinese language teaching in Sangkha School in Thailand by means of interviews,questionnaires,and statistical analysis,with emphasis on the teachers,student population,teaching objectives,teaching materials and curriculum of Sankar School.In this paper,interviews and questionnaires were conducted with two groups of Chinese teachers and 266 students in order to give an objective description of the Sankar School,to identify problems,to analyze them in depth and to give feasible suggestions.According to the survey and research,the main problems of Chinese language teaching in Sangkha schools are as follows: Firstly,there is a lack of unified Chinese language teaching standards,and the curriculum is not well developed.Secondly,there is a serious lack of teachers.Thirdly,the quality of teaching materials is backward and does not meet the teaching objectives.Fourthly,there is a lack of funding for teaching and a shortage of Chinese teaching facilities.Fifthly,the students’ Chinese language level varies,and the students themselves have more problems.In response to the above problems,the authors put forward some feasible suggestions,but it is not possible to solve these problems overnight.These include the formulation of Chinese language teaching standards,the implementation of funding and equipment for Chinese language teaching,the replenishment of teachers,the supervision of the curriculum,etc.All of these require the support and management of the Thai government and the relevant education departments,and some issues also require good cooperation between various educational institutions. |
