Research On The Expression Of Cyberpunk Art Style In Science Fiction Animation

With the appreciation and pursuit of different styles,cyberpunk has gradually shifted from a niche to a mainstream style accepted by the masses.At the same time,driven by both commercial interests and artistic development,the cyberpunk art style has even broken through the fields of literature and film to be used in a variety of art fields such as game design,illustration design,poster design,and peripheral derivative design.As one of the major categories of science fiction animation,cyberpunk animation is also gaining more and more attention and love.However,while cyberpunk animation is slowly being accepted by the mainstream,there are only a handful of Chinese presentations of the genre.Therefore,this thesis takes the expression of cyberpunk art style in science fiction animation as the research object,and explores the humanistic connotation behind the art style while exploring the expression of cyberpunk animation art style in different countries.By analyzing works in other fields influenced by the cyberpunk style and exploring the creation and integration of the cyberpunk art style in the future,we can provide new creative ideas for the development of this style of animation.This thesis begins with an explanation of the concepts related to science fiction animation and cyberpunk,discussing the characteristics of science fiction animation and the creation and basic features of cyberpunk.In the meantime,we try to sort out the current development status of cyberpunk animation in different countries from the US,Japan and China.Subsequently,the performance of cyberpunk art style is the focus of the study,and the artistic style in cyberpunk animation is explored in depth through the embodiment of character design,scene design,sound design and narrative style.Next,we summarize the deep humanistic connotations hidden behind the art style of cyberpunk animation,including anti-heroism,utopia and anti-utopia,concerns about technology in a post-human world,and the identification and reflection of human consciousness.Finally,based on the above theories,we analyze the application of cyberpunk art style in other fields and propose development ideas for the future development of cyberpunk art style that combines the background of the times and integrates with traditional Chinese elements.
