The Enlightenment Of Ancient Cosmetic Cosmetic Design To Modern Dressing Table Product Design

The trousseau,as a traditional Chinese object of daily dressing,carries the ideology of traditional Chinese society and the concept of creation,integrating nature,science,culture and aesthetic concepts,and is a valuable material cultural heritage of China’s traditional creations.Modern dressing table products are mixed,good and bad,"cut leeks" type profit model makes the existing dressing table products although the price is low but poor quality,style homogenization,a large number of copycat models or popular models occupy most of the market.These problems have resulted in dressing table products failing to meet consumers’ immediate needs,lacking design connotations and the spirit of creation,and gradually degenerating into a fancy profit model of fast-moving consumer goods.This paper analyses the origins and development of trousseau from the perspectives of economy,politics and culture,and distils the ancient trousseau’s values of "observing the image and making the vessel","making things auspicious","applying techniques to materials" and "preparing things for use".This is a comparison between the ancient trousseau and the modern trousseau.By comparing the similarities and differences between ancient trousseau and modern dressing table products in terms of shape,ornamentation,material and function,as well as the similarities and differences in the view of creation,the excellent concepts of ancient trousseau can be better borrowed into the design of modern dressing table products,so that modern dressing table products can get rid of the status quo of no design connotation,inappropriate selection of materials and craftsmanship,the pursuit of trends and visual impact,and the waste of resources caused by the refinement of functions and redundant classification,and follow the excellent principles of creation.The design of the products is based on the principles of good craftsmanship,attention to the connotation of the products and the human experience,standardisation of the selection of materials and production procedures,and the promotion of the ecological concept of green design.The design of this piece is an attempt to find a way of inheriting and innovating traditional local objects,which will serve as a source of inspiration and reference for modern dressing table product design,complementing the inadequacies of modern design connotations and giving it rules to follow and rationale to follow.
