With the development of modern science and technology,digital design has been increasingly applied to contemporary art design.The communication mode of traditional culture has been difficult to meet the needs of communication,and the application of digital communication in traditional culture has become a feasible way to improve this situation.Digital lighting art,as a unique form of expression with light as the basic vocabulary,brings a new expression to contemporary art.The application of digital lighting art to the transmission path of traditional culture can not only reflect the contemporary characteristics of a specific historical era,but also have a subjective consciousness,which is the way for the content to be disseminated in the new era.The polo in YangZhou in the Tang Dynasty is the result of the exchange and integration of civilizations in the Tang Dynasty,and it is a witness of the cultural exchanges among the countries and nationalities on the ancient Silk Road.This traditional culture should also find a new role and position in the contemporary society and stand on the stage of The Times again.Based on the research of digital lighting art and the social background,culture and characteristics of YangZhou polo in the Tang Dynasty,this paper explores how to express the cultural characteristics of YangZhou polo in the form of digital lighting art and contemporary in combination with the urban development of YangZhou.In theory,based on the theoretical study of the cultural characteristics of YangZhou polo sports in the Tang Dynasty and the performance of digital lighting art,the paper systematically analyzes the actual development needs of regional traditional culture in contemporary communication channels,and puts forward its contemporary design strategies according to the characteristics of YangZhou polo culture in the Tang Dynasty.Secondly,in practice,based on the survey and questionnaire data targeted at the audience,the strategy of "borrowing,reorganizing and reconstructing cultural relics images" and the scene design strategy of "painting in poetry" are proposed to extract contemporary design elements from traditional culture and convert them to meet the aesthetic needs of The Times.Finally,taking YangZhou polo in Tang Dynasty as an example,the design application of traditional culture in digital lighting art is practiced.Based on the regional culture of YangZhou and facing the future,the project endow YangZhou traditional culture with new vitality and vitality,promote the diversity of global culture while revitalizing regional culture,and contribute to enhancing the self-confidence of Chinese national culture.
