| The selected text of this report is the second chapter to fourth chapter in Metaverse For Beginners written by Andrew Clemens,introducing the three technologies of constructing Metaverse,which are Virtual Reality,Augmented Reality and NFT.The text can be used as a guide book to broaden knowledge for technical professionals in technology.During the process of translation,a large number of abstract nouns,parentheses and inanimate-subject sentences were found in the selected text.Contextual analysis,established equivalent and concrete translation are used to analyze abstract nouns.And three kinds of parentheses are apposition,causality,transition analyzed with amplification,sequence adjustment and syntactic transformation.Three kinds of Inanimate-subject sentences with patient subject,formal subject,and conceptual metaphor are analyzed by restoring or changing subject and so on.With the combination of theory and practice,the paper can provide references for the translation of popular scientific works about Metaverse. |
