At the beginning of 2020,the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 triggered a global crisis and had a huge impact on the preparations for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing2022.In the face of the severe and complex situation,China was not only making every effort to prevent and control the epidemic, but also fully preparing for the Olympic Winter Games, and finally the tasks were completed on schedule. In this translation practice, the translator selected Study on Inheritance of Beijing Olympic Legacy(Chapters 12 and 13)for translation. For the titles in the original text, the translator uses three translation strategies.Using the verb infinitive “to do” to indicate the purpose, using the conjunction “and” to indicate the coordination and using omission to indicate the subordination, which are applied to different situations of title translation. The purpose is to strive to accurately convey the original information and reproduce the conciseness. For no-subject sentences in the original text, the translator adopts the translation strategies of adding the subject, using “it” as the formal subject and translating into the passive sentence.Through different translation strategies, the translated sentences become more reasonable and conform to the expression habits of English language. This translation practice not only inherits the legacy of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing in the COVID-19 epidemic, but also effectively promotes the prevention and control policies of major public health events, and summarizes the translation strategies of sports texts.
