Report On Chinese-English Simultaneous Interpretation Practice At The 8th Internet Security Conference Cloud Security Foru

This report is based on Chinese-English interpretation of Cloud Security Sharing of the Eighth Internet Security Conference,aiming to figure out problems in simultaneous interpretation and provide efficient strategies to solve them.High-density information is a major difficulty in this practice,which is manifested as multiple enumerations and fourcharacter words.The strategies of generalization and simplification can be used to deal with high-density information.In this practice,there are other problems manifested as improper disposal of long attributive structure and redundancy.Different strategies should be applied to different attributive structure.Prediction,as a strategy,can be used for the interpretation of subject-predicate attributive structure and word-order adjustment as well can be used for the interpretation of additive attribute.Redundancy is mainly manifested in two aspects.One is semantic redundancy which can be solved by the strategy of omission;the other is syntactic redundancy which can be solved by combination.This interpretation report aims at helping improve simultaneous interpretation performance through targeted strategies and providing reference for future simultaneous interpreters.
