With the development of Marxism and the prosperity of the socialist movement in Eastern Europe,Marxist scholars devoted themselves to exploring the realistic way of reasonable society.Since the 20 th century, due to the influence of totalitarianism, racism and other extreme ideological trends, the political society has produced anomie phenomenon, and people are increasingly concerned about the real society.Agnes Heller,as the most representative figure of Neo-Marxist thinkers in Eastern Europe, learned from Lukacs. From the very beginning,Heller’s academic thought was closely related to the political environment of Hungary and the whole Eastern Europe. Her various experiences, including her philosophical reflection and ideological construction on human nature and the reality of modern society, made her not only attach great importance to the practical problems existing in modern society, but also analyze other aspects related to the empirical society. She not only hopes to criticize the disadvantages of the existing capitalism through her political philosophy, but also commits herself to building a good society and exploring good politics, hoping to obtain real human liberation and realize human freedom, and return to the "homeland" that truly belongs to people. This paper discusses Heller’s political philosophy from four aspects, studies the realistic background and theoretical source of her political philosophy, expounds the theoretical connotation of her political philosophy, explores the cultural criticism in political philosophy, analyzes the value appeal of her political philosophy, and deeply considers the significance and limitations of her political philosophy in practice.
