Although education is flourishing in the background of globalisation,there are still many education-related issues that urgently await solutions.The text is from Reflective Practice for Professional Development:A Guide for Teachers(chapter 6&7)and belongs to the field of teacher education.The translator believes that the reform and development of education should not only be reflected in teaching models,teaching methods and teaching media,but also in the education and training of educators at all times.The ability of educators to reflect and innovate has a very important influence on the teaching process.When translating vocabularies in the text,the translator uses amplification and extension to make words’ meaning precise and free of ambiguity.When translating long sentences,the translator divides long sentences and make logical transitions to make the translation smooth and readable.During the translation of the passages,the translator has paid attention to the treatment of the causal connective As,the personal reference and the demonstrative reference.It is hoped that this translation practice will supplement the translation practice of teacher education texts and provide some reference for translators who translate texts in this field.
