The Symbolic Implication Of The "Ring Dance" Form

The phenomenon of ring dance is widely distributed all over the world and is the oldest form of group dance.Its main feature is that people schedule dances based on circular diagrams.Symbolization continues in civilization,which is the embodiment of life form and cultural change,and also an important basis for tracing dance culture and the origin of human civilization.In the continuous development of civilization,according to the material and cultural needs of human beings,national cultures in different periods have carried out different symbolized meanings to the form of ring dance,and its occurrence and evolution are the starting point and proof of the creation of human culture.So how did the symbol of ring dance come into being,and what kind of particularity has it developed in what way? Starting from the phenomenon of the original ring dance and taking the form of ring dance as the research object,paper analyzes and studies the symbolized meaning of the form of ring dance.From the perspective of geneology,this paper proposes that the ring dance was born in the primitive utilitarian purpose,which is the reproduction of the dynamic pattern of the hunting activity of the primitive hunting nation driven by the sense of nobility.Under the action of "internal imitation" of human mirror nervous system,ring dance has the effect of uniting ethnic strength and strengthening tribal identity.Ring dance distinguishes the exclusive area of god belief from secular existence with almost closed circular ICONS,and develops the content of religious mythology in the image thinking of self-defining things,which makes ring dance develop from "signal" into religious "symbol" with content reference,and completes the symbolization of ring dance.In the continuous development of civilization,different cultures have derived different "explanatory terms" to the symbol of ring dance.This paper summarizes the symbolization evolution of ring dance form into three periods: primitive religion period,rational discipline period and symbol image period.It can be seen that ring dance has experienced three stages from original dance of collective unconsciousness,to emergence of collective discipline of national will,and finally to artistic dance of individual subjective and conscious reflection.Ring dance gradually develops from utilitarianism to abstract symbolism.The dominant force of the ring dance gradually moved down,from the god of religious belief,to the ruler of will of power,and finally to the subject of freedom.Individual spiritual power rose to overcome deity,reflecting the rational development of abstract thinking of human civilization.
