In this thesis,using classroom observation method,case study method and interview method.The mind mapping applied in two lessons of <HSK Standard Course 5>,and the application of mind mapping in teaching advanced vocabulary as a foreign language is analyzed and discussed in detail.By analyzing the basic theory of mind mapping and the characteristics of advanced vocabulary of Chinese as a foreign language.This thesis established the feasibility of applying mind mapping to the teaching of advanced vocabulary of Chinese as a foreign language,and applies mind mapping into teaching as an auxiliary teaching tool.Through the teaching practice and teachers interview’s feedback,it can be concluded that the application of mind mapping as an auxiliary teaching tool in advanced vocabulary teaching can help learners better understand Chinese vocabulary knowledge,sort out the level of Chinese vocabulary knowledge,consolidate learners’ construction of Chinese vocabulary knowledge system,and also help learners learn Chinese.
