| This research selects electronic games as the medium,and takes fragmentation narrative,a unique style of narration,as the research object,to conduct in-depth analysis of its narrative characteristics and interactive characteristics.Through a variety of interdisciplinary theories,it makes a detailed analysis of it,trying to explore a more suitable narrative path for electronic games.This thesis uses a variety of research methods,such as literature analysis,survey analysis and case analysis,and combines the researchers’ personal game experience.On the basis of combing the relevant theories of electronic game narrative and the development process of electronic game narrative,this thesis focuses on explaining the progress and uniqueness of electronic game fragmentation narrative compared with cinematic game narrative and open world game narrative,and makes a powerful analysis from both narrative and interactive levels.The thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction,explaining the source and basis of the topic,proposing the significance and value of the topic,and summarizing the research on electronic game narrative at home and abroad.Chapter 2 sorts out the development process of electronic game narrative,and analyzes the narrative characteristics,problems,and reasons of electronic games.The third and fourth chapters are the key chapters of this thesis.The third chapter analyzes the performance of fragmentation narrative in the game from the perspective of works,based on narratology,from the two levels of story and discourse.The fourth chapter analyzes how fragmentation narrative enhances the interaction of the game at the player level,as well as the advantages fragmentation brings to the game and the requirements for creators from the perspective of players and creators.Chapter 5 is the conclusion section,summarizing the entire text and providing prospects for the future of electronic game narrative. |
