| Open course,which covers varieties of subjects and is full of richness and professionalism,promotes online learning and provides excellent educational resources for the masses.Meanwhile,the interpreting study,targeting open courses,constantly enriches the theories and practice of interpreting.This stimulated simultaneous interpreting took the Intro Psych course of open Yale courses as the corpus.Paul Bloom,a professor of psychology,gave the speech.Based on the Effort Model in simultaneous interpreting by Daniel Gile,the author analyses three difficulties in the practice which affects the quality of targeted language and provides strategies in response.Through analysis,it is proved that the omission and summarization strategies can be used to effectively solve redundancy in targeted language,lower the loads of interpreters,and increase the efficiency of information transfer.Reformulation and addition can be used to tackle unclear logic to improve the accuracy,professionalism and acceptability in targeted language.Anticipation and explanation can be used to solve insufficient explicitation in extra-linguistic information,explicit the real intention of the speaker,and improve effectiveness in communication.It is hoped that this practice report could provide effective strategies for EnglishChinese simultaneous interpretation in open courses,offer reference for interpreting learners,and advance the efficiency and quality of this kind. |
