A Study On The Colors Of Huang Binhong's Flower And Bird Painting

Mr.Zhang Zongxiang,a famous modern calligrapher,once said: "In the future,we must make a book of flowers for the old bin,but we must set the color,and the color is not out of shape,in order to see the spirit of the old Bin painting.This is another one of his special creations.Pan Tianshou also praised Huang Binhong’s flower-and-bird paintings: "People only know that Huang Binhong’s landscape paintings are excellent,but they do not know that flowers and birds are even better.The beauty lies in being at home."Huang Binhong’s brush and ink cultivation in flower-and-bird painting came naturally with the help of landscape painting,transforming the "dark dense and thick" of landscape into "simple,light and clumsy and healthy".Most of his works focus on color,and have experienced the transformation from "light and elegant" to "mellow and ancient beautiful" style.After the death of Huang Binhong,his wife Song Ruoying and her children,in accordance with his will,donated their remains,collections and other relics to the country free of charge,and were eventually preserved by Zhejiang Provincial Museum.Therefore,this paper aims to analyze the color aesthetic features and color expression methods of Huang Binhong’s flower and bird paintings from the perspective of color through Huang Binhong’s flower and bird works in Zhejiang Provincial Museum.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the traditional flower and bird painting color view and Huang Binhong flower and bird painting color view.The second part is the elaboration of the color development process of Huang Binhong’s flower-and-bird painting.It discusses the reference of his flower-and-bird painting in color from the current people,the ancients and the nature,and finally develops into a mellow,ancient and brilliant color style.The third and fourth parts are the main parts of this paper.The third part expounds the color aesthetic characteristics of Huang Binhong’s flower-and-bird paintings.The paper expounds the color aesthetic characteristics of Huang Binhong from four aspects: color style,emotion expression,brush and ink expression and folk color expression.The fourth part is an in-depth analysis of the specific expression of color in Huang Binhong’s flower-and-bird paintings.The fifth chapter discusses the influence and enlightenment of Huang Binhong’s color aesthetic thought of flower-and-bird painting.
