| This thesis is a practice report of Chinese-English interpretation.The author takes the Interpretive Theory as the theoretical framework and the mock interpretation practice of Professor Ni Weidou’s speech at the 20th China Scientists Forum as the corpus.Combining with the characteristics of scientific and technological translation,the difficulties encountered in this interpretation practice are divided and concluded based on the three stages of the Interpretive Theory:comprehension,deverbalization and reformulation.The author puts forward the corresponding coping strategies one by one,such as cognitive supplement,contextual interpreting,logic processing,information integration,explanatory interpreting and reconstruction so as to achieve the purpose of conveying the meaning in the process of interpretation.This report mainly includes five chapters:task introduction,theoretical framework,difficulties during the interpreting,coping strategies under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory and conclusion.The author firstly introduces the relevant information of this task and the author’s work before,during and after the interpretation.Secondly,she introduces the theoretical framework and research overview of "the Interpretive Theory",which is the guiding theory of this task.Then,under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory,the author analyzes the difficulties in the process of interpretation and gives specific coping strategies for specific cases.Finally,the author summarizes her gains and shortcomings during this task. |
