The conference was organized by the Global Energy Internet Development Partnership(GEDP),attracting more than 300 delegates to discuss the path to achieving peak carbon and carbon neutrality in China. The conference proposed the solution of building China’s energy internet to reach peak carbon and carbon neutrality. The theory of interpretation school guides this interpretation practice. The core idea of the interpretation theory is that the object of the interpreter’s understanding, translation, and expression is not the linguistic form of the original language but the meaning and thought to be expressed by the speaker or the author. The interpreter’s primary role is to deverbalize and grasp the substance of the essence. The interpreter begins with pre-session preparations on the topic, including finding background information on the speaker and creating a glossary of terms.Through transcription of the recording, the interpreter summarises that three kinds of sentences tend to affect translation quality:disordered sentences, redundant sentences, and omitted sentences. Therefore, the interpreter use translation methods such as linguistic regrouping, omission,or adding auxiliary information to express the original intention. Finally, the authors conclude that interpretative theory is an upbeat guide to the consecutive interpreting of impromptu speeches.Strategies such as sentence restructuring, omission, and inference can help interpreters efficiently capture the meaning of discourse. Therefore, the authors argue that interpreters should strengthen the use of interpretation theory in future research to increase the likelihood of successful interpreting practice.
