Chinese international education is an important subject to spread Chinese culture and image.As one of the main carriers of Chinese international education,the importance of Chinese textbooks is self-evident.Teaching materials of Chinese culture as a foreign language are of great significance to the independent construction and overseas dissemination of China’s national image.The content selection of cultural textbooks and the transmission of values have a direct impact on the output of China’s national image.Therefore,in order to effectively spread Chinese culture and actively shape the national image.This paper chooses Chinese Culture Textbooks "general situation of China","common sense of Chinese culture" and "Chinese history" as the research object.This paper analyzes and studies the topic materials,the national image dimensions involved and the Chinese national image displayed in these cultural textbooks,and explores the advantages and disadvantages of cultural textbooks in building the national image,so as to promote the construction of Chinese national image in cultural textbooks for foreigners.This paper finds that there are the following deficiencies in shaping and disseminating China’s national image in Chinese as a foreign language cultural textbooks: the proportion of content selected in textbooks is unbalanced,mainly due to the relatively small proportion of communicative culture and modern and contemporary culture;The cross-cultural awareness is not strong enough,mainly because the language of traditional culture is too difficult,and there is a lack of foreign perspective in telling Chinese stories,which is difficult to resonate.Therefore,in the end,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for the compilation of follow-up cultural teaching materials.The author believes that: firstly,we should increase the proportion of communication culture and modern culture,reduce the knowledge of national conditions and achievement culture,increase the culture of modern Chinese communication activities,and combine the content of culture with the interests and needs of foreigners as much as possible;Secondly,we should pay attention to cultural exchange rather than publicity,rationally introduce Chinese culture,reduce the sense of superiority of local culture,pay attention to cultural equality and exchange,deeply excavate the worldwide culture and values in Chinese culture,find out the common points of culture and integrate into the Esperanto system.Let the world recognize Chinese culture,and then elaborate and spread the culture with Chinese characteristics;Finally,I hope that we can make full use of the advantages of the Internet and rely on network resources to build a Chinese culture network teaching resource database,so as to update and maintain it regularly.Meet the learning needs of foreign students and better help students learn independently.
