Ming and Qing coastal defense sites are the historical product of a specific period of China,and they are an integral part of cultural heritage that cannot be ignored.The existing coastal defense remains in Guangdong in the Qing Dynasty are numerous,complete in type and widely distributed,which are an important part of the military system to defend the coast.Under the background of increasingly frequent maritime sovereignty disputes today,the coastal defense sites still have very important practical significance and educational significance.In order to better realize the protection and utilization of coastal defense sites,and improve the visibility and influence of coastal defense sites.In this paper,Guangzhou Nansha Artillery Site as the research object,through the study of Nansha Artillery and its affiliated Humen Artillery System construction process,the evolution of Nansha Artillery has carried on the comprehensive combing.On this basis,this paper analyzes the value of defense education of Nansha Artillery Station,and draws the conclusion that Nansha Artillery Station has rich defense education resources,and its defense education content can improve people ’s defense concept and defense behavior ability.Finally,this paper sorts out the relevant cases of cultural relics applied to national defense education,analyzes and evaluates the current situation of Nansha Cannon Platform Site,and accordingly proposes that various forms of national defense education activities should be organized based on the patriotic education base and national defense education content of Nansha Cannon Platform Site.At the same time,it is necessary to seek cooperation between Guangzhou and Dongguan to jointly establish the Great Marine Site Park,and to establish an outdoor military experience area based on the natural and historical resources of the upper and lower Henggang Islands.
