The etiquette system of the Zhou Dynasty showed the characteristics of "etiquette and music must be beneficial",and it is difficult for us to separate etiquette and music and talk about the value of etiquette in emotional expression alone. Therefore, this article focuses on the ritual but no music, and talks in detail about the funeral rite in the murder ceremony, and talks in detail about the funeral rite in the murderous ceremony. The funeral clearly proposed the "forbidden music" system, from the serious illness of relatives to the "Da xiang" period of "hanging music".This finds an angle for the aesthetic expression of sadness that we can talk about alone.Funeral is a kind of ritual art that is people-oriented,and etiquette and affection achieve each other. The lack of music in the "abstinence" system is closely related to the "mourning" in funerals, and after the cancellation of music, the ritual supports the emotional expression part. This article starts from the presentation of sadness in funeral rites in early Chinese society, and explores the inevitable relationship between etiquette and affection.Under the premise of clarifying that ritual is the main body of people, emotional expression is taken as the starting point, and then the artistry of ritual and the importance of funeral ritual to the aesthetic expression of sadness are discussed.Funeral rites are reflected in the expression of sadness: etiquette still meets people’s emotional venting needs under the principle of moderation, leaving people with room for emotional catharsis.Funerals regulate people’s behavior based on the principle of moderation, and people have a certain "group pathos" after being regulated. The person performing the ceremony reflects the corresponding etiquette appearance, elegant words and deeds in the process of performing the ceremony, including the special ritual instruments used in the ritual process and the entire etiquette process of the funeral, all of which make the abstinence system have the seriousness and elegance of the ritual art. This article argues that it is necessary for music to be missing from funerals,so the vacancy left by music needs to be filled by something, and this filling is crying. However, the biggest reason for abstinence in mourning is that emotional mourning and pleasure are not mixed,so crying can only be a functional filling.Crying replaces the position of music, and after replacement,"crying" not only satisfies the avoidance of "music" in funeral etiquette, but also satisfies the functional position of music on funeral etiquette. From the mourning journey to the mourning at home, crying is always present, and people use crying to express the pain and sorrow of the loss of their loved ones, and express their emotions to the fullest. The crying of relatives fills the sound part of the funeral ceremony, and the filial piety can express their sorrow and thoughts with their own crying and crying,so the funeral ceremony is not happy but achieves the effect of mourning in sound.Zhou Li did not use etiquette to imprison people’s emotions and emotional expression, but gave people an outlet to release sad emotions, and crying under the principle of moderation not only regulates people’s behavior, but also has the function of expressing emotions. The funeral provides space for emotional expression, obeys human feelings, makes the ceremony warm, and also allows the "individual pathos" to be brought into play.
