The Color Practice Of Sargent's Portrait Oil Paintin

Based on the thought of color processing in Sargent’s portrait oil painting,this paper analyzes and summarizes the corresponding practice methods of Sargent’s color language innovation points,uses and selects them,makes a localization attempt of Sargent’s portrait oil painting color language,and gives suggestions and inspirations to readers.This paper is divided into two parts: the former is the information about Sargent(painting practice + literature),summed up the method theory of Sargent’s color techniques,namely the basis of practice and the origin of the theory;the second half is the author uses the method of comparison to discuss the reference and choice of color techniques,and finally makes a theoretical summary of the author’s own color practice rules.Sargent’s works still have great reference in this century,such as "color blending","color focusing" and "color generalization".While learning from them,we need to consider the actual situation more.We should refer more to Sargent’s underlying color thoughts and ways to solve specific practical problems of color,rather than simply learning from his color use.
