| Reading teaching of TCSL is always a significant as well as difficult course,in which the development of learners’ reading abilities is a part that much emphasis must be placed on.As an important carrier of classroom instruction,textbooks plays a vital role in TSCL,the quality of which is even one of the crucial factors that make or ruin a course.In this thesis,the author selects Developing Chinese Intermediate Reading Course and Fengguang Hanyu Intermediate Extensive Reading Course as the objects of the analytic study,on account of their representativeness and the short span between their compiling time.This thesis aims to comparatively analyse the merits and demerits of the two textbooks and provide advice for improvement on the textbooks of Intermediate Reading Course.The thesis can be divided into seven parts:Chapter One is an introduction to the research reason,research significance,current situation,research methods and theoretical basis and etc.Chapter Two makes a comparative analysis to the general structure of the textbook,mainly on chapter arrangement and layout design.The third chapter analyses the extracts in the two textbooks,involving their lengths,topics,cultural factors and the innovation.Next chapter relates to the words,mainly focusing on the vocabulary and the difficulty.Chapter Five talks about the numbers,the types and the contents of after-class exercises.The last but one chapter concludes the advantages and the details worthy of learning in the textbooks,it also summarizes the demerits and makes suggestions.At last,Chapter Seven is a total conclusion to the whole thesis. |
