A Study On The Artistic Features And Singing Style Of Shanghai Folk Song Adaptations

In all periods of China’s historical development,Shanghai has been an important city that cannot be ignored.So far,Shanghai is not only a modern international metropolis and financial center,but also a place where the traditional culture of the Chinese nation meets and integrates Western culture.As part of Shanghai’s traditional folk music,Shanghai folk songs have shone through the re-arrangement of composers in the modern society where the mode of production has changed.By reviewing the historical development of traditional Shanghai folk songs and Shanghai folk song adaptations,this paper establishes a preliminary understanding of the musical style of Shanghai folk songs and the adaptation methods of Shanghai folk song adaptations,and explores the artistic characteristics of Shanghai folk song adaptations in combination with the musical ontology and dialect color of the more representative works in Shanghai folk song adaptations,"Which Birds Fly High" and "Jiangnan Water Country Beauty".Based on his own singing practice,he analyzed his singing style from three dimensions: image shaping,singing skills and deductive expression,and summarized the role of Shanghai folk song adaptation in the inheritance and development of traditional folk songs in Shanghai.
