A Study Of The Expression Of Watercolour Textures

Nowadays,the expression of watercolour texture is rich and diverse,gradually moving towards diversified development trends,making watercolour painting present a unique artistic charm.In the creation of watercolour paintings,many painters have conducted in-depth research on texture,and this form of expression has been constantly appearing in the picture.The use of texture makes watercolour works richer and more creative,showing a unique style of watercolour art.In this paper,through the study of watercolour texture,the use of various materials can produce different texture effects,and the rational use of texture in the creation of the Suzhou ancient town series,and its specific analysis and discussion.The thesis is mainly based on the methods of literature collection,image analysis and practical research.A large amount of materials have been collected by consulting relevant materials in the library,using digital tools to take photographs and searching for images on the internet,etc.,and have been systematically summarised and collated,and presented in a graphic way.Through the study of watercolour texture,the special texture is used rationally in the creative practice,which is an enrichment of the content of watercolour art.This paper focuses on three parts: an overview of watercolour texture,its forms of expression and personal creative practice.The first part starts with an overview of watercolour texture and explains the meaning and classification of texture.The second part analyses the works of watercolour painters from the perspective of the expression of watercolour texture.The last part is the practice of watercolour texture in personal creation,firstly,the production of watercolour texture from two aspects: visual texture and tactile texture;then the discussion is launched from two aspects: pre-exploration and practice of creation of Suzhou ancient town series.Through the study and research of watercolour texture,appropriate texture is selected and applied to the creation of the Suzhou ancient town series,conveying the love for the ancient town of Suzhou’s watery atmosphere,and also the practical expression of the language of watercolour texture in the ancient town of water,thus highlighting the artistic value of watercolour texture.
