Transcendental Themes-my Conversation With Magí Puig

Contemporary figurative painting artist Magí Puig’s approach to his work is influenced by both traditional and modern art.He specialises in using photography or computer software to help him present his own unique style,successfully creating his own artistic language within the contemporary trend of realism.This article is based on a study of Maji Puig’s artistic philosophy and paintings.Through the author’s recordings of his interviews and the collection of other foreign language materials,I aim to guide my own creative practice through the study of Magí Puig’s painting philosophy and techniques.The article is divided into three parts:the first part introduces the language of Magí Puig’s paintings;the second part analyses his paintings and emotional expressions through my communication with Magí Puig;and the last part is my creative process,through which I analyse Magí’s paintings and apply the expressions and techniques of his paintings and creations to my personal creation.The innovation of this paper is to study the use of realistic scenes and pictorial subjects in Magí Puig’s paintings,so as to go beyond the expression of feelings and thoughts in realistic subjects,and to explore the pictorial space and themes through sensual beauty,expressing his own unique aesthetic sensibility and emotional tone.
